HRCI Accredited Succession Builders Workshop
June 10-11, 2010 in Irving, Texas (the Dallas area)
The Succession Builders workshop is designed to prepare human resource professionals to lead and facilitate a Succession Management strategy and a Talent Review process within their own organization.
The workshop is facilitated by Doris Sims, SPHR, author of 3 top-selling talent and succession management books: Building Tomorrow's Talent, The 30-Minute Guide to Talent and Succession Management, and the Talent Review Meeting Facilitator's Guide (workshop participants receive all 3 books)
During the 2-day workshop, participants will receive 12.5 HRCI credits to learn how to…
Effectively explain the business purpose and need for a talent and succession management strategy to business leaders
Create the talent management strategy, process and tools to identify high potential leaders, successors, and key talent
Identify accountability methods and metrics to measure the results of a talent and succession planning program
Prepare for a Talent Review meeting, and how to help leaders prepare for the meeting
Facilitate and scribe a Talent Review meeting
Determine the logistics of the Talent Review meeting - the length, the participants, the roles and responsibilities, and the agenda, ground rules and structure of the meeting
Identify and recommend development actions (both formal and informal learning actions) during the Talent Review meeting
Participants will also experience the Talent Review Meeting Simulation and play the Talent Management Benchmarking Board Game to learn more about talent management processes, facilitation techniques, research, strategy, and how to respond to questions from business leaders
